I can’t wait to visit the area again so I can come back here! The day we came, it was unbelievably cold and windy...too uncomfortable to stay and explore for long...but I did manage to get some really great photos!

The bridge itself would be wheelchair accessible, however, getting to the bridge would be difficult (steep hill). We didn't walk or do any hiking, although there appeared to be miles of nice trails. If you were an outdoor enthusiast and love nature, this could be...More

After reading some other reviews, I was afraid we'd have trouble finding the bridge. However, we'd picked up a Shoals Area map that listed the address as 2100 Ashe Blvd and our GPS took us right to it. We had a great time with my...More

It is a scenic wooden railroad bridge that goes o Er the Tenneesse River. Beautiful walk and serene time to think.

This is lovely. I always enjoyed the walk with my daughters. I'm sure the foliage is changing there now to reveal a beautiful fall.

The railroad bridge was crazy hard to find. None of the maps we tried had it marked correctly. My suggestion is to find Oral and Facial Surgery of the Shoals LLC. That will take you right to it. It's beautiful at sunset. We spent about...More

The parking area is difficult to find. My GPS did not show the access roads properly. There is a parking lot very near the bridge. It is accessed either by cutting through the parking lot serving the condos and medical office nearby, or by following...More

A little tricky to find, but once you're there the bridge is a fun way to kill an hour or so. The day we were there a couple was taking engagement photos. That said, it does provide a pretty good backdrop for photographers. Also, it...More

This is a great historic site as well and a fantastic place to take pictures. There is shade from the railroad bridge above and a nice breeze in Spring and Summer.
