If you want a sense that these are still the boom years in China's most dynamic city, this club is where you need to be. Decked out in red wherever the eye falls and accompanied by the club's signature disorientating eye pattern, Le Baron exudes...more

Truly speaking i put bad reviews only when its REALLY BAD... So here we go Le Baron is the worst night life experience in Shanghai. We booked a table on Friday night throw a one of their managers. When we got there the bouncer pretend...More
This is chinese club, most of the guess are rich Chinese people.
The drink it’s crazy expensive.
As well we didn’t feel safe, old chinese man has bother us the all night, it’s definitely not a good place for a girls.
We were a group of 6 friends.

One of the bouncer, black, was pretentious.
As we walked away he tried to pick a fight with one of my friend.

This place is stuffy and shallow. We reserved a table and dropped about 2k USD expecting to have a good time sending off a friend but nope, apparently that wasn’t enough money because after about half hour the staff started being really nasty to us...More
Don’t be taken in by the people trying to get in as you should be trying to get out . Ask yourself why do they employ so many bouncers it is not for your own safety it is to make sure they extract any money...More

This is undoubtedly the worst nightspot I've visited in Shanghai, and possibly even the world. Rude staff, overpriced drinks, iTunes playlist quality of music, and very crowded (somehow!). Do yourself a favour and drink elsewhere on Donghu Lu which is actually a very good street...More
Classy with all the illuminati red eyes haha, the decor is cool. it’s a great place to relax and enjoy the music. Plenty of celebrities also, CBA players frequent the joint. Drinks are not that expensive and worth the money, you can get beers...so cool.
Le Baron is located on Donghu Lu.
If you go there, get prepared to wait for a while before going inside.
Make sure you know someone or make a reservation if you want to avoid the queue.
Do not go before midnight, as people usually...More
While there are technical borders to the area formerly governed by the French in Shanghai, the "French Concession" of today is an amorphous neighborhood that is a favorite of the city's foreign residents. While it is mostly within the Xuhui district, residents will sometimes include parts of Jing'an and Luwan in their mental maps of the Former French Concession. The area seems frozen in time, characterized by quiet,
tree-lined avenues, French-style villas, interesting boutiques, lively bars and quaint cafes that are not typical of China. All of these mix and mingle with local life as Chinese markets and lanehouse communities are peppered throughout. Denizens of the Former French Concession can spectate a mahjong game on the street or get their bike checked at a tiny bike repair store on the way to their refurbished apartment tucked away among Chinese family homes.
