Yuyuan is a bustling marketplace set in an old Chinese neighborhood with traditional architecture and shops selling everything from dumplings to kitsch. A great place for people-watching and picking up Chinese souvenirs, and close to the nearby Yuyuan Gardens.

This bazaar is like many other shopping areas in China. You’ll of course negotiate very hard for things you may not really need. However, you are probably going to be here already seeing some of the very nearby sites. In that case, take some time...More

A nice and beautiful place to visit! All the buildings inside Yu Garden are ancient-styled, the zig-zag bridge area is great for photos. However, the place is VERY crowded, but I would still recommend a visit here if you are in Shanghai. *If you want...More

Famous area to visit. It's a bit too touristy for me. Filled with souvenir shops and vendors chasing you around to show you Knock-off watches. Not worth coming here in my opinion. There's a small koi pond that has huge fish!

If you are looking for souvenirs, this is the place. We just walked around to people watch. We walked a little further to find small shops selling local products. There are restaurants and eateries around.

Shanghai’s original walls live on in the curve of the
