I found this bar and decided to duck into escaping a pounding rainstorm. Decided to sit outside under a canopy which created a beer garden vibe; likewise the German beers. Music was suitable and you are able to carry a conversation. However, beer was pricey;...More

Cute bar in tianzifang to stop by after browsing trinkets. Little pricey for the cocktails but expected from touristy area. Cocktail was so so. Not gonna rush back.

Food was fine. Nicosie Salad for me and burger for my boyfriend. They gave us free wifi. Service was good. and location really nice to be a bar inside Tian Zi Fang Area. I like it and I suggest to eat there.

The Rambler has a laid back and friendly atmosphere, which is probably why its so popular with both locals and expats. We got chatting to the owner Gavin (who made us some damn good Negroni's) - he's really the heart and soul of the place....More

The location is ideal, the mojitos are beyond delicious, but the true star is the owner Gavin. A Tianzifang staple - popular with Shanghai locals/expats and tourists alike.

Place is solid good times. Not too loud but not too quiet. Strong pours and friendly staff. Has great bites if you need a snack. Would love it if they had more events or promotion.

Former French Concession
While there are technical borders to the area formerly
governed by the French in Shanghai, the "French

sometimes include parts of Jing'an and Luwan in their
mental maps of the Former French Concession. The area
seems frozen in time, characterized by quiet,
