Consists of 3 theatres inside. Lovely modern theatres. Main theatre seats about 1800. Good views of stage from all areas. Comfortable seats. Coffee shop and souvenir shop inside.

While I never had a chance to visit inside I found the architecture of the Shanghai Grand Theater grand and interesting.

While it was closed on Monday, I still had a chance to walk by and take some pictures of the building. It is one of the popular and most photographed building in Shanghai. Very near to Shanghai museum, so probably can visit both.

I have been to a few shows at this location. I have always had a great seat at a very reasonable price. The sound is great and the types of performances varied. I would reccomend checking out the schedule regularly and seeing some great shows!

If you can't go to buy the tickets in person, I would recommend going to en.damai.cn and clicking for the filters: Shanghai (location) and Theater (type). The venue shows up as "Shanghai Grand Theatre" Hope this helps... More
