We would skip this in favor of other parks in China. Just not a lot going on here. Well groomed grounds.

Located in central Shanghai this was the original Shanghai Racecourse.Now a beautiful park surrounded by skyscrapers, museums and performing arts,shops and cafes.Metro Line 2 People's Square,11 Exits.

Centrally located in the old part ofShanghai. Large area which passive park area, center gathering plaza. Place to exhibit art and other cultural activities. Gathering place for all people locals and tourists. Must see areas, especially for first time visitors to Shanghai!

People's square is not really an attraction. Its simply a park surrounded by shops and restaurants. I do not really understand why so many people are drawn here.
