Many of the reviews for this attraction have been for the river walk by The Bund, but the Riverside Promenade is actually east of the river in Pudong. This wide sidewalk runs for about 1.5 miles from Taidong Road in the North to Dongchang Road...More

it is the core of the historic and present Shanghai, so read a bit about the city before / or while on this promenade, enjoy the people arround, ships on the river, and Bund behind you.

This attraction is almost the same that Huangpu River, Bund or Pudong. The message is simple: if you are in Shanghai you just have to go here and walk to enjoy the magnificent views of the Bund and Pudong. Shanghai's waterfront is one of the...More

Interesting way to contrast from the more heavily trafficked Bund. It has a different feel and gave a different perspective on the city.

On this side of the Huangpu River it‘s definitely more quiet but not less interesting. The atmosphere invites to have a break especially during dawn since you‘re watching in the direction where the sun sets. We suggest like everywhere in big cities, to wear comfortable...More

9:30 pm No one was there. 7:30 am, a few others walking around. By 8 am, it was sweltering Jot. Went down to tunnel to escape heat. $11 to ride to the other side in air conditioned comfort. Well, worth it to cool off.

I enjoyed two different strolls through the promenade. During the evening, it was another crowded night but still the best way to view the changing lights, advertisements on the buildings, boats sailing up and down the Huangpu River, the towering skyscrapers and the Bund architecture....More

The two things are completely different. The promenade is a nice place for a stroll or walk. Just have a nice time taking in the sights and enjoying the view.
