A business colleague recommended this place, in the mall right under the Jing'an Shangri-La Hotel. I did not make an appointment but they took me right away for a one hour foot massage, manicure and a pedicure. All services were truly fantastic. The place is beautiful, clean and very friendly. I was especially impressed with the quality of the manicure... More

My friends and I head to Dragonfly every Friday night to escape from the work week and get our minds and bodies ready for the weekend. Try Top & Toe massage - someone massages your head and shoulders and another person massages your knees down to your toes - AHHHHH. Prices are great and they offer a prepaid card which... More

The Dragonfly was located in the Kerry Center very close the the Shangri-la Jing'an Hotel--you just took the escalator down from the hotel and you were there. The 90 minute foot massage was so relaxing. Menu of services was in English and the person at the front desk spoke English. It was a GREAT experience!

Recommended by friends and colleagues at the expo center, a 2 min walk from kerry parkside. I had the pleasure of a four hands massage, about 800 rmb cost, but worth every rmb spent. The ambience is typical chinese spa, modern blended with the oriental. Located in the ultra chic keery parkside mall, part of the kerry hotel offering, the... More

I visited Dragonfly to get Chinese style body massage. Rate was fair and service was not bad. But, it would be great if they served drinks and cookies. Go and enjoy massage to relax your body!!

Let me start by saying I was a professional Massage Therapist for about 10 years. I have high standards, and earning a 4 or 5 from me would mean it was really a 4 or 5. The place was clean (which is nice, but should be expected and the norm). The staff was friendly (again, should be the norm). The... More

Was deciding between this and skin city 5.5, and decided to try this based on the good reviews of their other outlets. Called to make an appointment, and was delighted that the receptionist speaks good English. Booked for a 90mins oil massage for my partner and I. We reached there early and was immediately ushered into the treatment room after... More

Dear Chuamel, Thank you for visiting our retreat and sharing your experience. We are pleased that your first impression was a good one. We do normally "undress" the bed and present you with customer clothing once you are in the room. This is a longstanding approach but I appreciate what you say about it being done in front of you.... I was on business at the hotel next door and was a walk up for a pedicure and manicure. Although the hotel at a great spa, the prices at Dragonfly were a little easier on the pocket. This isn't cheap and cheerful, but I was well taken care of and at least a couple of the staff spoke English. My... More

Dear Jo, We love to serve Kiwis at Dragonfly - and we look forward to the day we can bring our brand to Wellington. We do strive in fact to be as "cheap and cheerful" as we can - but as you will have noticed Shanghai has become an expensive city so we had to let up a bit on... More

Dragonfly is a chain of spas in Shanghai, and a great go-to for good service and good product. The prices wouldn't be considered cheap compared to some local places, but they are well worth it. It's my go-to for quick manicures and massages.

Thank you Rosa for your endorsement. As you said we are not as cheap as many local massage parlours or nail spas, but we pride ourselves on giving terrific value for money - in all our retreats. Typically we are half the price of a hotel spa, and we strive to provide a 5 star service at a 3 star... More

We visit the Dragonfly fairly frequently. Generally I utilize the Kerry Dragonfly but have been to others if we are in that area of the city. To this date all that I've visited have the same level of cleanliness and attentive staff. Our family has only made use of the nail services and massages. We often go with friends and... More

Dear WereGypsies, Thank you for the vote of confidence! We know there are many (one could say literally thousands) of cheaper competitors around, but we strive to offer up consistently strong hygiene, a safe environment (suitable even for children to enjoy with parents), and of course a calm relaxing environment where you can truly escape. This is what we have... More

Staying in Century Park

Neighbourhood Profile
Century Park
Shanghai residents see Pudong’s suburbs as the place that grown-ups retreat to when they’re ready to settle down and stop living in the cramped confines of a refurbished lanehouse. The areas around Century Park are some of the most desirable as they are in close proximity to the Metro Lines, granting easy access to the heart of Puxi. The park itself is a huge draw, it’s one of Shanghai’s biggest and there are sports fields tucked into one of its corners, but five-star hotels, museums and great malls make life in the Century Park area easy for the homesick foreigner. And if living in a Western bubble in China isn’t your thing, there is plenty of local flavor to be had in between the major development. Some of Lujiazui’s futurism can also be seen in buildings and sculptures throughout the neighborhood as well.
