I hate giving poor reviews! But, if money is tight for you, skip this. We went on a Thursday night; the minimum charge we were quoted was 300 rmb per person and I heard them tell others that they needed to pay 400 rmb minimum....More

Not cool or classic jazz ... more like Chinese pop and cheesy versions of American pop songs ... not so wonderful ... pricey and loud!

Don't understand the fuss besides the fact that it's a beautiful hotel and setting. The band is old and well respected for playing for the last 50 years or so but considering their experience, they hardly sound it. Their repertoire is limited and the tuning...More

We just wanted to see the old jazz guys (average 82 years old!) and had a perfect time. You need to have a minimum consumption of RMB 200 per person, which is fair, because the place is nice, the band is making a special atmosphere...More

Worth a visit. Average age of the musicians is 82 years old and they've been playing at the Peace Hotel since 1980. Inspiring, charming, don't miss it.

It's a small jazz bar that has 6 musicians that are all around 80 years old and have been playing their forever. It's a more enjoyable experience if you know the history behind it before you go. It's busy and hard to find a seat....More

This is a great place. Such an ensemble of talents of the seniors. You can feel their passion when they perform. Should at least visit it once. We were there twice in the beginning of the year..

The Bund
While there are certainly many other “bunds” in the
world, “the Bund” refers to Shanghai’s famous
waterfront. The area’s Gothic, Art Deco and Beaux Arts
monoliths were built when it was part of the Shanghai
International Settlement run by the British and
Americans. The atmosphere of colonial-era luxury has
endured over time and is now found in the five-star
