very impressive but inside of train shoddy

Shanghai has an amazingly fast train, quite a nice experience, the only negative is the shoddy interior - feels like taking a train in an outer province just going much faster

Having ridden on the magnificent Maglev it was great to have a look at the eponymous museum. The technology enabling speeds of 430 km/h to be reached was fascinating to see. Its development in Shanghai as the first commercial Maglev in the world was interesting. Fine models demonstrate in detail the wondrous achievements of this mode of travel. We had... More

I am writing on behalf of my Y3 class who visited the Maglev Museum last week. They absolutely loved the trip and are still talking about it. Here are some of their points they want to share with you: 1. You must visit the museum and ride the Maglev on your visit. We went to the museum first to add... More

Young children love it. They enjoy the museum and train trip to airport. They explain train history including pictures of old trains and new ones.

I am a teacher at an international school in Shanghai and we decided to take our students on a trip to the Maglev museum and onto the train as we had been learning about modern technology. They absolutely loved the museum and the trip on the train. Here are some of the things that they said: "I loved playing on... More

The museum is information dense and good English descriptions. Train fast about nine to twelve minutes to the airport. A little bumpy ride was a surprise to me. Expensive and cannot use a metro card which is annoying.

Free of charge and very interesting for understanding magnetic levitation and linear motor technology - from idea till real implementation. Pay attention on special window glass technology for outside speed more than 400 km/hour.

The trip from Pudong Airport to Longyang Road is available at 50% value for foreigners with passport and boarding pass. By the time you start enjoying the trip at above 400 Kms per hour speed of Maglev , you arrive at Longyang Road station. The museum has several pictures from the initial development stage of Maglev . The concept of... More

We did this while waiting for some of our tour group doing the Maglev train trip. It was interesting and filled in the time.

Actually I visited this Museum after the travel experience in Maglev. It's really interesting to know how and the history of Maglev. One should not miss this place if you have chances travel in Maglev.
