Here is your typical Chinese combination of arboretum/botanical garden and amusement park. You can get your horticultural experience as well as playing paintball, roller coaster rides, horse riding, and many more activities (additional charges apply). Or just ignore all of it and have a nice 1-2 hours stroll instead and enjoy getting away from the busy (and noisy) city centre.... More

We visited this park on weekend, and we spend roughly 1 hour to get to this park from the place we stayed. Paid RMB 30 for both of us, and we head straight to the park with excitement. It was a crowded weekend, but thanks to large compound of the park, you will found your little spot where you can... More

We visited the park to enjoy the colors of varieties of chrysanthemum. It was excellent show, well maintained people friendly park. We were amazed by the arrangement with different themes and the variety . Worth the visit on a warm winter sunny day . The exhibition hall was exclusive display .

This is a popular park with the locals. Air quality is often better than in downtown. It has much less people compared to many other Shanghai parks. This is an major advantage. Locals come here with their tents and spend the whole day here. It is possible to barbecue as well. It is possible e.g. to fly kite, walk, run... More

Gongqing forest park is quite an amazing find in the northern part of the city. The park itself can be reached by following line 8 to the second last station, and walking about 15 minutes east of the station. The park itself is large, and can be simply divided into two halves. The left most section is a theme park... More

We have a large family of 5 children ages 1 to 14 and we all really enjoyed the park. Even though it was a holiday we found several places to play, eat and do sports where there were few people around. It reminded me of the park in my home town in New Orleans. We were able to picnic by... More

This is a very nice park with a fare array of nice plants and flowers in the spring. The bathrooms, lets just say that i have never in my life seen a toilet as grotesque as the ones that they have in he park. the adventure zone is AMAZING with many newly renovated obstacle courses, go on a holiday but... The terms "National Forest Park" are rather misleading since it's an entire artificial park, nothing is natural. Although artificial, the park is generally good and well maintained regarding the lake and the trees. To me, the problem is that it's way too Chinese in the sense that they created a "small" place to fit everything for entertainment: old and shabby... More

Enjoyed a couple of hours in Gongqing Forest Park on our recent China tour. The park has some amusement rides (which was the reason for our visit) but it has some lovely wooded walkways and plenty of shade, ideal to chill out on a hot summers day. As far as the rides were concerned, these are paid for by ticket... More
