I enjoyed shopping for shoes, pearls, electronics and trinkets to bring home. You can go many places in Shanghai to find these items, however, here you have a huge selection in one place. Fun to negotiate, too.

My husband and I visited the pearl market on the weekend. It was not crowded at all. This is a smaller version of the Pearl market in Beijing, although the Pearl jewelry stores here are more upscale. I found the prices here to be quite high in comparison to the market in Pudong and Nanjing West Rd. There is a... More

I purchased three pair of eyeglasses including the exam for a little over $100.00. This is a great place to have a custom suit made or purchase some quality shoes. Yes, there are fake items here, but there are even more unbranded quality items. Excellent prices on shoes & bags. You can find toys on the top floor as well... More

The mall is pretty unimpressive. The ground floor is occupied by sundry shops selling bags, tees, souvenirs etc. whilst the upper floor shops sell mostly pearls. My advice would be to walk around, compare prices before making your final decision. Most of the shops carry more or less the same items but the prices can differ quite a bit. I... More

If you want to buy or are into pearls this is the place to visit as you will get reasonably priced pearls and even if you are not into them worth just seeing.

Recommended by local as the best place to buy pearls . All quality types, for which you can bargain. We bought at Juli Jewelry. You can used credit cards, but better bargaining with cash. Very satisfied. No tour groups, because of 30 minute distance from the center city hotels. Frequented by locals, and foreigners who live in the area. Noticed... More

If you love shopping, come here! It sells anything from electronics, bags, clothes, scarves, shoes, pictures in frames, CD's, jewellery, literally anything you want can be found here and at a fraction of the price. Do bargain though and I would slash their given price by at least (minimum 50%). You can even try 30% and work your way up... More

You need at least 2-3 hours here to scour around the shops, look around and choose the designs that you want. Everything can be customized and I would recommend buying extras for future gifts.

Was directed to Laura's Pearls in the Pearl Market by United Airlines flight crew. They said they regularly go there on their day off to purchase and felt they were reliable and fair with good quality. You get what you pay for. I knew I needed new white, black and gold pearl studs so came out with exactly what I... More

The schools have formed pockets of international communities throughout Gubei, Hongqiao and Minhang. Quite a few entertainment and shopping centers have built up over the years to cater to these communities.
