It's 190 元. They have packages for photos. It's a good way to spend the afternoon if you want to spend the money. Not very big but a good mix of famous people.

Madame Tussauds Shanghai a short walk along Nanjing Xi Lu (Nanjing West Road) from 人民广场 (people's square) station so easy to get to. You take a glass lift up - it's connected to a shopping centre. As a clueless foreigner unaware of Chinese films and music there are lots of Chinese stars that I just did not know that locals... More

Overall satisfying Line was not that long wait but he a couple of touts luring to get business for customers to not need to line up. Price seems acceptable, perhaps an offer for couple is better. Language was an issue, there were no English speaking staff nor proper sign ages to assist in the flow. There was onky a guy... More

Getting there: Take Exit 7 from the People's Square Subway station. Tickets: You can purchase the tickets online at the website or on the spot. Because of the steep price of RMB 190 for adults the place is not very crowded as most of the other places in China. If you are sure about you plans book online as that... More

A nice place to see all your Asian (and Hollywood) celebs in 1 place, made of wax tho they are :-) Seems like they rotate the statues as I didn't see some (e.g. HuangXiaoMing) on display although they were shown in photograph. The wax statues were so lifelike, they were amazing. This is my 1st Madame Tussauds visit, so pardon... More

There plenty of Asian figures which doesn't surprise me being we are in Shanghai franchise but where is Jackie Chan? Or Fan Bing Bing? No lady Diana either or Beyoncé . Definitely different from their promotional advert. It's expensive but then they only do one-time business customers so it's understandable. Still had fun inside though so if you have plenty... Jackie Chan is not even there. Some mannequins are potraits of the star many years ago. Some don't even resemble the real person. A rip off for the price it charges.

Staying in People’s Square

Neighbourhood Profile
People’s Square
People’s Square brings with it all the excitement you would expect from the town square of one of the biggest cities in the world. The area around People’s Square and People’s Park is always a abuzz with activity. Oceans of local and foreign tourists flow in and out of the area every day to see grand museums, go shopping and eat at some of Shanghai’s most storied food centers. Shanghai residents, meanwhile, live and work in the many residential and office high-rises. While much of Shanghai stays busy late into the night, this really is an area that never sleeps with glitzy nightclubs keeping people up until the wee hours of the morning.
