The planetarium's open-to-the-public shows are Monday-Thursday at 4pm and Sunday at 2pm. We saw a presentation about meteorites and meteors...from their origin billions of years ago to their effects up to the present. Shows change every month. Our show lasted about an hour, with the latter part of the hour devoted to constellations. The $6.50 adult admission did not seem... More

What can be better than relaxing in a cool, dark room, gazing up at the stars? If your looking for something to do that isn't expensive and gets you out of the heat, this is it! We all enjoyed it and the narrator did a great job!!

Well let's start off by saying we had a good time but we thought it ran a little long. The show started at 2pm and we left at 3:20pm. First off, it has been completely renovated. Brand new seats and a new projector. The first part of the show was a movie shown on the projector called " From Earth... More

My 4 year old came here as a part of his childcare center field trip and the whole family had high expectations...mistake. The displays were about average but the main event is the video. Unfortunately that was where this planetarium fell short. The video was enough to entertain a 4 year old, but not enough to satisfy his need for... More

We went to the Planetarium on a week day as a group of military spouses/children. They let us jump in with a 3rd grade class. The show was geared toward children, so some of the spouses were a little bored. The movie didn't really teach much about space and was more a movie. After the movie, they did put some... More

A wonderful experience for kids (most ages), the best things are: they've the latest projector available only at few plantetariums across country and the lady managing the show was great in her simple n interesting explanation on the fascinating n mesmerizing nature ahead n beyond us. The short movie on Pluto was awesome. Must see for all who love to... More

This is a very nice planetarium. It's nicer than I expected in Montgomery. When it's sweltering outside, cool off and view the stars

I've lived in Montgomery AL my whole life and never got to go to the planetarium. My brother did on a field trip once, but I always thought it was too expensive. Boy was I wrong! Tickets were $6.50 and it was amazing! I am now going to start going once a month!
