Downtown Montgomery Alabama is a small town with many tree lined steets. We visited on a bright sunny day . The bus stop where Rosa Parks boarded the infamous bus has a large plaque bearing a synopsis of the mother of the Civil rights movement....More

Although not a lot to see other than a plaque but for someone like me looking for a sense of history , this had far more meaning and emotion than so many tourist spots.

A plaque marks the spot where Rosa Parks was arrested. It’s outside the entrance to the Rosa Parks Museum and easy to find. Nothing to see apart from the plaque, but worth the sling a moment to consider the far reaching impact of what happened...More

It's a small area across from the Court Square Fountain. But it is a necessary stop. Read the plaque and think about how Rosa Parks affected history.

Just a short walk from the Rosa Parks Museum and Library you can see this marker on the street. It's just hard to imagine what actually happened right on this very spot all those years ago.

The Rosa Parks Arrest Site is essentially a marker where the arrest event took place, but there is nothing to see. The marker has a plaque on it to commemorate the event. The Rosa Parks Museum just up the road, however, is an excellent museum.

Visited the Rosa Parks museum and this is an extension of the history of this wonderful city. To actually stand where such important history took place is phenomenal!

Although there is not a lot to see here, for those interested in following the path of those involved in the civil rights events, it is a place that must be seen,
