At Mobile’s Battleship Memorial Park, you don’t have to look very far to find heroes. From the Battleship USS ALABAMA to the Submarine USS DRUM and over 25 aircraft, the spirit of military pride is alive and well.Aboard the battleship you will be able to explore 12 decks. Among those, you can climb inside gun turrets, get locked in the Brig, man a 12mm gun and much more. Also at the park, you will be able to go below and explore inside the oldest Submarine on display, Submarine USS DRUM. In the Medal of Honor Aircraft Pavilion as well as in the park, you will be able to view many rare and historic aircraft. A few in our collection include: A-12 Blackbird Spy Plane, OS2U Kingfisher, F-86L Sabre Jet, B-52 Bomber, just to name a few. This is a well designed park. It mainly deals with the WW2 Battleship Alabama but it also has memorials for Korea, Vietnam, Gulf war. and many others. The ship and submarine are amazing. They are very easy to walk through and have displays explaining the area of the vessels.

My husband suggested this and I thought it was going to be boring. I WAS WRONG. My 5 y.o. went crazy when he saw that we were going on THAT ship. My 13, 14 y.o. girls loved the history and walking through the boat. Their favorite part was on the top deck climbing up as high as we could go... More

Great way to spend 1/2 a day not only tour ship but also plane museum and submarine. If you like touring ships, a must see.

My 6 year old loved climbing through the battleship. It is fun interactive history for the kids! I would suggest going. Even my teenagers enjoyed it!

I'm retired Navy, and for me anytime I can get to board these Ships is a real treat. I saw many old salts just standing and reliving their earlier days some even teary eyed. Children running around looking at all the things and loaded with millions of questions each eagerly wanting answered by a Navy Man or Woman. Just walking... More

I live in Mobile and have been to the Battleship many times. It is a wonderful attraction, especially for youngsters, but you will definitely enjoy it more if you go on a day that is not blistering hot. Be sure to also visit the submarine. Allow yourself at least a couple of hours, but you could easily spend 3-4 hours... More

Went to Battleship Memorial Park with my mum and sisters. We visited the USS Alabama and did the three different tours. We then went through the Pavilion before going to the submarine USS Drum. It took us about 3 hours to go through everything and it was very interesting. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Mobile. Make sure you... More
