Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Try to go there during sunset. Great view of Melaka from up there. It is pretty under rated at the moment so not many people there. There is a restaurant below the deck. You have to pay to go to the top. (still value for money) You have pay at level 41st floor and then walk on glass panels path and stairs up to level 43. Interesting walk here on glass panels. On the deck, there is a section where the flooring is made of glass panel and it is a photo op here. Overall, it is a great view and relaxing up there away from the crowd. It is walking distance from Jonkers Walk.

The view is nice at night but the customer service is very bad. The female receptionist just simply leave the counter and made us wait for a long time to buy ticket. Then she came back w.out saying sorry.. The Shore should change the receptionist since cust serv is very important coz it might affect someone's experience.

Its quite hard to find the observation deck on the 41st floor – (you have to go to the third floor of the shopping mall at the far end) – signage is minimal, almost as though the management are a little embarrassed of what they are promoting.
When, finally, you do make it to the top, there is so much space around the entrance, that its hard to understand why you should then pay to enter.
I was not the only one to turn around having seen the view for a few minutes.

Got told by guard to press lift to level 43. Reached there, saw signboards which says - lift goes up to level 42. In the lift, didn't see any button to level 42. Only up till 38. Changed to another lift, also same 38 highest.
Was looking for help unfortunately there's no one to assist. The entire floor has no staff at all.
Went back to see the guard for assist, I was told "nothing much I can do. You just wait there until someone comes to you"

It is recommended to visit in the evening.
It is possible to see the sunset and night view like the photo.
There is one caveat.
It is very difficult to find the entrance to the observatory.
As soon as you find a staff member, ask them to help you.

getting to the the ticket counter is super secret, you need to find the entrance for the shore hotel and residences, check with the counter for instruction, take the lift to level 42, you can't see anything here yet. then change to another lift to go to level 43, there is the ticket counter :)
Then you need to do a high wire act at level 43 to walk along a narrow glass lined corridor on *thin* planks to the top, and you get to the viewing platform that gives you a magnificent view of Malacca, this is unparalleled and highly recommended :)

We went up during the day time which was very hot and sunny! Cost RM18 per adult for one time entrance. There is one spot up there with glass flooring. Very nice to take photo, but no personal photo taking. U have to let the staff to take your photo with official camera and buy u photo at counter. That is really not very good. I have already paid the ticket and should have right to take photo at every place up there. Sign....

Visited The Shore Sky tower recently- my husband and I paid RM50.00 to enter. No one said anything told us anything about what to expect. We were told we are unable to use our own cameras only when we are on the sky tower , well that was a shock. Anyway we agreed. We had a look around, and completed our tour.
When we exited the place, the staff mentioned why didn’t we take pictures from the professional photographer? That was new ?? We explained that there were no photographer? The staff was not helpful at all. Being a foreigner, she insulted us and tried to get more money from us. She told us as it’s a one entry to get in again we will need to pay RM50.00 and purchase all the pictures. In my argument with the staff, why do I need to pay for something when I don’t know if the pictures are the right one.
All the staff working there insulted my husband and I and refuse to allow us to speak with management. I hope that someone from the management team reads this and take action or train your staff.
As an overseas tourist, I returned from the shore sky tower with a bitter taste.
Thank you.

Here you pay RM30 to go up on a roof. That's it. I've never felt more cheated. First of all, the view is so-so. Melaka is a lovely town, but let's be honest, nobody comes here for the city view. It's a charming, sleepy town that I will visit again. But compared with KL the view is deeply unimpressive. There's no bar or food up on the roof and no re-entry. There are a few fish in a skylight pond. The plexiglass bridge that only pokes out out about a meter and a half is so heavily scuffed up that you can't see through it any more. The telescopes don't work very well. Oh and there are a couple of mediocre art pieces festooned with lights. They also pipe in an odd mix of western music. I've been all over the world, seen and done a lot of things. This, my friends, by far, is the least value for money for any attraction I have ever seen. If you simply must gaze upon the suburban view of Melaka, just go to the bar.

It is a total rip off!!! Would never recommend this to anyone ever. It's just a plain rooftop. With about 1mx1m cantilevered glass lookout point which you cannot take your own photoooo!!!!!! Taking photo is not allowed there. The thick glass floor is mostly reflective not really see through. They have their camera installed there to take your photo and you have to freaking pay for the photo. RM 45 for a printed photo. I wont even pay RM10 to get to the rooftop. Doesn't worth your single penny.

Hi, I'm going to melaka with my boyfriend this coming Monday. It's my first time to go to melaka. What hotel near to this place?
Written 22 February 2018
7 Days Premium is the cheapest i think and near to The Shore. Or You can have Ramada Hotel, Orchid Hotel, Bayview Hotel around that area also. You can use Grab to go around the town. Cheap and easy.

Hye can i know about the charges per person for adults ? Cant we snap pictures with our own camera ? Any charges for that ?
Written 27 August 2016
For adult it's around RM50 per person. Yes you can take a picture of your own but for invisble glass the not allowed for you to take picture but you have to use theirs and buy that pictures.

We were there before the official opening so I would go with the answers above. However while you need a clear day to get the best view the platform is very exposed so hats ,umbrellas ,water bottles & go early in the day. Not at the height of the sun.
