- charmsMumbai, India24 contributionsMust visit for silence and serenity..Less crowded and serene.. ideal for honeymooners, couple, girls.. beach beds with sun umbrellas are priced at 200rs, unlimited period... we rented them after checking out from our hotel, to spend some time on the beach instead of sitting in hotel lobby to kill 5hours..Visited January 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 20 January 2023
- Michelle 2320London, United Kingdom3 contributionsBest Beach in North GoaOne of the best beach in North Goa with lots of shacks and restaurants around. We stayed in one of the best hotel close to Candolim beach which is Seashell suites and Villas. Candolim beach has huge parking and lot of stalls to do shopping and also different types of restaurant with multiple cuisines. And water sports activities.Visited February 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 28 February 2023

The beach also has an incredible view of the sunset each evening. I was amazed at how clean most of the beach was You can get sun beds for free, along as you buy a few drinks from the barVisited February 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 28 March 2023
- Pratik GandhiGoa, India517 contributions"Candolim Beach: A Vibrant Tourist Hub with Something for Everyone"Candolim beach, situated near Fort Aguda and other famous beaches in Goa, is a popular destination that draws numerous tourists year-round. Its appeal lies in the variety of water sports activities, beach shacks, and a wide range of restaurants to suit every budget. The presence of numerous pure vegetarian dining options further enhances its attractiveness for those seeking vegetarian dining experiences. While the beach itself is picturesque, it can become quite crowded due to its popularity.Visited December 2022Travelled with familyWritten 27 June 2023
- Kavi16a119 contributionsUnderrated beach - not too much crowdCandolim beach is a beach like any other beach in North Goa but has far less crowd that nearby beaches like the Baga beach. There are no shacks here. But the way to the beach is lined with many shops to buy beachwear and other items. Overall neat beach with a watch house to ensure safety in peak tide. There are many good bars and restaurants nearby.Visited September 2023Travelled with familyWritten 2 September 2023

The beach in September, is pretty average. Agoda Fort is the nearby attraction, beaches further up north in Goa can be preferred.

Never visit Goa during the month of May. Unplanned power cuts making life miserable for guests. One of the poor states of India which once was the prime destination for vacation.

Best beach in Goa. Beach beds to view the sunset. They charge Rs.100/- per bed. Not to be missed! I recommend BOAT SHACK - good ambience, lit up in the evenings, great music, friendly servers - yummy snack and food options + hukka! You can have a peaceful time by the sea. Best time to reach here is 5:00 pm.p
Paid parking available outside the beach (they charged Rs. 50/- for the 4-wheeler). Btw good crowd as well. We went to Candolim beach 3 evenings in a row - found families mostly with kids.

AVOID WATER SPORT ACTIVITIES at Condolim beach as they are total cheats and extremely rude. The supervisor there even had the guts to say that it's a known fact that there is cheating on all the beaches in Goa during water activities.

Happening place. Nice clean beach. Many shacks are there to relax. One can enjoy food massage, water sports or just getting wet in the sea water.

Hi, I haven't been at this time of year as it is generally the monsoon season and wet. The beach shacks are not running. I don't use the casino's so can't help you there. Sorry, I'm not much help. The people will be as charming as they always are I expect. Have a good time.

I've just got back from Goa and I stayed in the Fiesta Resort Hotel on Baga Beach. I would not recommend this place as it is very, very loud even inside the rooms as the noise starts around 4/5pm and does not stop until 3am. I would avoid any hotels around Titos lane as there is no noise control in Goa around the Baga Beach area. I would recommend you find a quieter hotel near Candolim as it's more peaceful but at the same time there is still a pleasant holiday vibe and the beach is also less crowded. Baga/Calangute beaches are very crowded. The one good place to eat is Britto's on Baga Beach - great food and atmosphere. Another place that I loved was Sagar Vegetariam Family Restaurant (off Tito's Lane) for more authentic south indian food - this place is very cheap too as a meal will cost around £5.

Hi, we are planning for a visit to Candolim in Jan 2019, with my 2 yr old. Is there a place which rents strollers/prams for children in and around Candolim?
ashwanikumar
New Delhi, India31 contributions
Hey.. Most of the time you will be on beach (sand) so Pram will be of no use. What I suggest that keep your kid in your lap all the time.
Hi we are planning to visit Goa in between 23 dec to 26 dec.is Calangute beach is crowded at that time of period? which time is best in day to visit Calangute beach for less crowd, morning or evening?

23RD TO 26 TH dec is the prime time in Goa. So it will be crowded throughout the day. But comparatively morning is less crowded.

Candolim, India70 contributions
Yes! Candolim is in North Goa.
Depends on what you wish to do really. Some get bored since they expect Goa to be Delhi. Others love the feel of the quieter monsoon days. Some want to drown in the water knowing it is not allowed and others respect Mother Nature! Some want to do water sports in monsoons which they are dumb enough to expect in monsoons.
Fort Aguada lighthouse is just 4Km away other than many popular restaurants and night clubs/pubs. It is also centrally located from where other beaches and areas are within reasonable distance. Being close to Panjim is another advantage here.
