I was totally submerged in this history of space travel. Probably because I was a teenager during the first launches. Some of the contents of the center were actually in space. It is a bit pricey to get in but there is a lot to see. Worth the visit.

We took our visiting 6 year old granddaughter to the Space and Rocket Center while she was here in Huntsville. She enjoyed the rock climbing wall and playing with other kids out doors but really did not have much appreciation for the exhibits or the IMAX presentation of "Dream Big". When we first arrived we received a very quick and... More

You can view the space ship from outside and read all about the history of the first rocket to the first person in space. You have a choice to go in and view a movie. They have a huge souvenir store with a wide selection of various items.

Love this place. Sometimes pet friendly activities. Good food. Fun rides. The movies are awesome. Terrific IMAX theater. Classes and special speakers excellent. Homer Hickam, Astronauts, glider pilot, etc.

We spent 6 hours exploring the museum, watching an IMAX feature, seeing the outdoor rocket park, and a guided tour of Saturn V exhibit. We found the museum to be a little worn and several rooms were under construction. Our favorite in the museum was the informative tour about the International Space Station. Unfortunately the IMAX film was blurry which... More

Great facility. I have always wanted to see this place since I fell in love with Kelly Preston as a kid. It's kind of a national treasure, and has inspired tens of thousands of kids to pursue serious science. In all honesty, Space Camp may cure cancer some day. As a museum, it's not going to quite do that, but... More

The Space and Rocket center, home to Space Camp and the Saturn V, is a really fun yet educational place to visit! There are the static exhibits detailing the development of the rocket systems that took man to space as well as traveling exhibits that are always very interesting. There are a couple of rides that simulate zero gravity, a... More

It was a great day trip from Memphis. There was more to do there than we expected. You can easily spend an entire day.

The US space and rocket center was very neat to see, there was a 25$ per person entry fee. Which I thought was a tad overkill. But later found out that if you have your military ID Or student ID that it is reduced price. So that's pretty nice. There were several things to see. A lot of reading. I'd... More
