We're staying in the campgrounds and have the most beautiful view across the Tennessee River. It's crowded and there are tons of families picnicking in the park, boats running up the river, and right now the sky is blue and we have just a little more than a gentle breeze!

Hasn't been open long and it's a very beautiful - lavishly appointed building with good exhibits and nice people working inside.Florence as a whole has many wonderful things to see. I stayed there a week after die birding 200... More

My wife and I went to the park twice while we were in town for a weekend getaway. Though we didn't have our boat with us, I see this would be a great area to enjoy the water. The Florence Marina is right next door to the park and there are several boat launching facilities. Also, there is a camping... More

Mcfarland Park is a great park, right next to the Tennessee river. It has a campground and shady trees. There is one big drawback that dog walkers need to be aware of though and that is the cannon that is fired at sundown. If you do not know this ( there are no warning signs anywhere,) you could lose your... More

This place has a little bit for everyone. From the gorgeous views of the Tennessee River to the beach, boating, camping, or fishing everyone can sit back and enjoy the day. The pine trees near the bank provide shade for hammocks and plenty of picnic tables are available for eating. Definitely a nice spot to just relax and enjoy a... More
