My daughter-in-law, granddaughter and I went hiking to find waterfalls. My GPS stopped us at a trailhead, so we hopped out to check it out. We walked for 45 mintues on an unmarked trail and finally found a small waterfall. Very exciting trip. My husband...More

My husband and I took our two dogs and hiked across a bridge and along a river. There were picnic areas with grills and concrete tables. The oak leaf hydrangeas were at their peak and the weather was great. Afterwards we enjoyed a wonderful meal...More

We hiked Caney Creek Falls and Sipsey river and found both to be very navigable, if you are in the area we recommend you hike here.

Such a fantastic place to hike! We've been to this forest many times. So many trails to choose from. Lots of waterfalls to see, small to large. Easy hikes and challenging hikes. Meet fellow hikers on the trails. Go visit!

We always take a trip through Bankhead at least once or twice a year if not more. You can swim in the summer. If the water is up, you can canoe or kayak. Thompson's creek is a great place to hang out with the kids....More

Ranger station is hard to get on the phone. They are helpful once you do. I believe the Ranger Station is located on Hwy 33 in Double Springs. The Rangers will be riding the parks during the holiday weekend.
