We were lucky enough to catch the ferry right before it was getting ready to leave the last ones on. We were so fortunate to have and able to just drive right on and not have to wait. It was a beautiful sunny day and...More

We did not drive our car on the ferry. We rode it over and then walked the island. My kids enjoyed the ride, which took about 30-45 minutes. It was cool to see all the rigs out in the bay too. It would have been...More

In reading the reviews, I had concerns about how long it would take to load/unload, but found that they were very efficient. The loading process never took more than 15 minutes. They only cancel when the weather is rough and who would want to be...More

We called a half hour early and they told us it would run. But captain wanted to get off early for the weekend and canceled the last ferry by the time we arrived. The first assistant told us the cancellation was due to weather. The...More

We traveled from Dauphin Island to Fort Morgan and on to Gulf Shores and this was an efficient way to do so plus the fun of seeing the bay from the ferry. Staff was friendly.

We took the ferry from fort Morgan to Mobile so we could go see the USS Alabama. Taking the ferry was a great decision as you get to relax while seeing the different landscapes and seascapes along the way. It isn’t free but it was...More

If you have never been there, you must go. The vacation homes for rent around the island are the best you can rent no matter where you stay. The ferry is a fun trip.

We took the ferry from Dauphin Island to Fort Morgan. We only had to wait for about a half hour to load. Long enough for all to take a bathroom break. Loading was extremely fast. The trip across Mobile bay was awesome the kids got...More

When we need to get to the Gulf Shores area, we always take the ferry. It’s much shorter than going around the bay if you are on Dauphin. It’s also fun to see the dolphins and birds. Keep your receipt if you are returning the...More

The fort itself is a very interesting landmark, and it has been very well preserved. It would be best if you had a tour guide to show you around. (They explain things so much better, than trying to do it on your own). Allow... More
