We spend a cool afternoon here. It was only about 75 degrees out, but it was so nice to relax on the beach and watch the boats go by. There were a number of birds feeding in the water near by.. interesting to watch.

We stayed in Dauphin Island the first time in September of 2017. We were originally scheduled to vacation on the East Coast, but Irma had other plans. I'm writing the review for the beach and the island as a whole. The beaches are very pretty...More

Well. I had hyped up this place so much that I was disappointed. It's a small little fishing-like village. Not what I was expecting. They had a lot of camps for sale or rent. I guess these hurricanes have a few people scared near the...More

We ended up here at the end of our road trip from New Orleans. The island was very quiet, the beach was quieter with only about 6-8 people, the water was nice and warm and the sand was soft. We visited on a Monday and...More

We visited Dauphin Island more or less by chance and drove around until we reached the beach area. This is really a very unusualk landscape with sand dunes and little vegetation, summer houses built chaotically in the area and nothing much else. The beaches are...More

Since we are just a couple of Seniors that like walking along the beach - we rated West End Beach as 'very good', but if you are a young family that like to sit on beach and play in ocean - would rate it much...More

We had a family reunion last 2 weeks of June at 4 houses along Bienville with about 50 or so folks and no one had a problem. Ages were 3 to 85.
