Explore nature to the fullest!!! A must see for ALL bird watchers. Became an amateur watcher myself. Many different ecosystems to explore too. Always a bike ride away while on the island!

Many trails. Take a map so you don't get lost! Some trails are long. One goes to the beach area with a resting area. Ponds with waterfowl and egrets, herons, turtles, etc. Look for owls, osprey and an eagle! Clean and well kept.

Don't mess with any wimpy mosquito repellents. They will eat you alive! The bird sanctuary is worth whatever it takes to keep the pests at bay. Stunning views and photo ops - especially the dock overlooking the lake. We've yet to see the alligators but...More

We were so ready to find the little hidden gem of a pond that is inside the sanctuary, but we were quick to go in take a few pictures and get out when we seen the "Do Not Feed the Alligators" sign.

I'm not sure about guided tours. We were there toward the end of the day and didn't see any.
