Nice little hike

We went to this thinking there was an actual ceremonial ground, we didn't find that be we did get a nice shaded hike in the massive trees draped in Spanish moss

We drove up, looked for a brochure or map and there was nothing. Walked around a little bit and saw a few shells and that was that.

The mounds are interesting and the natural beauty of the landscape invites you to explore and imagine the prehistoric lcommunity that lived here.

Nice little park. We walked through it and were amazed at the old trees. Nice and shady. Well kept. Loved reading about the history. Great educational walk for the kids.

There's not much there but it's s nice short walk. Saw some interesting birds. Also, when we walked to the pond behind the trail we saw a small gator!

This is a lovely park and very quiet. We hiked over the mounds and through the forest. There are benches scattered through the park, inviting you to sit and meditate. It's hard to believe that Native Americans built these mounds more than 11,000 years ago. You can get a sense of tranquility just walking around. CAVEAT: don't go when it's... More

This place had 4 parking spots, and you just walk into this little park and walk a path. The soil on the path had broken clam shells. We walked in a circle and then left. Not much info to read either, could have made us appreciate it more, but we tried.

Very buggy!! We we attacked by mosquitoes. Buuuut, we did find the pathways beautiful and loved the old tree that we took a picture with too. The shells are visible, but not overwhelming. It was a nice place to stop for a little walk but I don't think we'd go back again.

It's a nice place to visit, however be sure to bring bug spray or you'll regret it. Also be careful and watch your step there are a few holes.
