Do not spect 5 star hotel, but a good day of relaxing peace. Need to get a small boat to get there. Delicious food, made to order, and they take credit cards.

It was not just an island beach, it was a mix of sand in the water in the sand, like the famous one in Australia (as seen from the pic). Plus, on the main beach there was a stream which became a water pound at one side, and there were vegetations growing around it, some morning glories too, and their vines were waving through each other on the sand, so pretty, like the decorations on a wedding cake. There were different kinds of birds, many small ones were feeding the water, some mide size black and white ones were flying, even saw a egret chill by the water pound. This place was totally alive! At low tie, there were several sand bunks just off the main beach and you can walk though the shallow water to reach them. The water was warm even it was a cool day with small rain, and there were some crabs swimming. Where you first land the island there were some small bars/restaurants. Only one was open when I visited, no loud music which was great. It was a Monday morning, apart from 5-6 people I met at the bar/restaurant, there was just me when exploring the nature hardly saw anybody. Walking through the sand banks to the ocean was like walking to the edge of the world, and walking back to the palm tree dotted center was like walking to a holy land. Praia da Coroa do Aviao is now one of my favorite places though I never even heard of it before. You should definitely go!…

Excellent beach with calm waters. Drink and food kiosks with good choices of freshly prepared dishes.

Try to be there whe the tide is low, and you'll see the locals digging the sand for mussels. Beautiful sight. Other than that, pretty basic, beach/ river mouth beer, sun and appetizers kind of place.

I liked the place but it was a big deception, because I was imagining a perfect sand island, with clear beaches and crystal clear water... nothing of these at all... Precarious and not nice restaurants. Good to walk and and do some sea shells beachcombing, but far away of being extraordinaire. This is one of these cases when pictures are more beautiful than reality.…
