The origin of the name Maragogi is of the old Tupi that means "river of the cats of the bush", was chosen that name due to the river that bathes the municipality. The municipality of Maragogi is located in the state of Alagoas, in the state of Maceió.

One of the main tourist attractions in the state, the tourist attractions that attract most in Maragogi are the beaches of Peroba, São Bento, Barra Grande and Burgalhau. Beaches of natural pools, calm sea, white sands and reefs where it is possible to bathe next to colorful fish.

Another strong point in Maragogi is its rural tourism in the farms Cachoeira and Marrecas.

State of the art place to visit. Rich in concept of a museum and good curation. Amazing restaurant at the Institute and large greener spot to relax and snap pictures.

Spent a Sunday afternoon. I found it worth seeing it. Audio guide definitely helped to enjoy. It’s far from the city.

Recently visited for a 2nd time after 5 years. One of the most incredible museums in the world Recently expanded and added quite a few new things Much of it from European early history Mr Brennand continues to search the world for new items to add to his museum Recently visited a city in PE, Gravata, an interior city with many antique stores Supposedly Mr Brennend buys items from them on a weekly basis for his collection Bring a couple cameras and try to spend hours in there One day a month is FREE DAY, check out their website
