The Birla temple is an impressive building from out- and inside. The whole area is very clean and well maintained. The temple seems to be in private hand. On the outside one can find a series of statues from Shiva representing his evolution and different forms. Inside one find different other statues of gods and impressive architecture. Worth a trip!

serene and calm place, put your phone in silent mode and enjoy the silence, avoid visiting the place in weekend, huge rush and the securities will make you run, they won't allow you to stand at one place

This is a modern, big and spacious temple. Lots of space for people to enjoy outside of the temple to relax and reflect. Unhurried time can spent unlike the older and famous mandirs.

One of the relatively newer attractions of Kolkata and despite being located in the heart of the city at Ballygunge, Birla Mandir is a wonderful place to spend some time in peace. Very well connected and situated on the main thoroughfare, the overall ambiance & beautiful architecture of the temple makes it a pleasant experience to visit it anytime.

Nice to see. Should be included in your visiting place in Kolkata. I like to visit temples, not only to see the beautiful art works on them, but also to feel the faith of the people bringing offerings and make their prays.

Keep your mobiles outside. there was a locker to hold your valuables. Small temple right in the middle of the city. one could spend good one hour in this divine temple. Marble floor keeps your feet cool.

Birla temple is very famous in Kolkata. There is very peaceful environment and people come here and see the evening and morning aarti of the god. It is very good place for families.
