Somehow both more and less than I'd hoped to find

On two of our previous visits to Darj we'd intended to track down the botanical gardens and not been able to work out how to get there. This time we asked a taxi driver and he... read more

It is not actually recommended by me for you to visit here if you visit the padmaja naidu zoo. It is a great place to stroll around.

On two of our previous visits to Darj we'd intended to track down the botanical gardens and not been able to work out how to get there. This time we asked a taxi driver and he dropped us at the lower market from where we asked everybody that we saw how to get there. The route we took was smelly... More

We visited during monsoon in August and were very disappointed. Maybe it was the time of year but there was nothing of significance to see. There were a lot of trees with labels but we saw no flowers in bloom and the orchid house was just a sea of green. The place is more like a park rather than a... More

We were only there on a Sunday. and many glass houses are closed. But an interesting park. Well laid out and still enough of interest to see. Special interest to the large family Lloyd!!

A vast range of flora and fauna of the Himalayan region. I have visited this place every time I have been to Darjeeling. For those with knee problems it can be a bit stiff.

Botanical Garden of Darjeeling does not actually feature in the list of "must see" for the tourists who come to this hill station. Still, I personally feel that those who love flora should go and visit this place. It is not actually a huge are, so can easily be covered on foot and should not take more than an hour... More

Went to see the botanical gardens, heard good things but was rather underwhelmed. Unfortunately when we went the glass houses were all locked up and these contained the only plants of any note and were in themselves quite small. When exploring the rest of the gardens very little was in flower and most areas were rather unkempt with a lot... More

Lovely place to sit with a book in the sun. Plants are labelled in plant gardens if you're into botany. Quiet and with toilet facilities. Hard to find though, ask someone at the taxi stand how to get down.
