Visited this monastery following our ride on the Toy Train, and found it a very peaceful, spiritual place. Our guide explained all the intricacies of the various decorative symbols throughout which really enhanced our visit

The place acted as a sanctuary for Buddhist monks fleeing Chinese occupation in Tibet. If you visit in the afternoon, you will find clouds surrounding the monastery like a fog.
