It is a very good Shopping place to visit especially during night time. Along with shopping, one can enjoy the pleasant (chill) climate during the night time. Winter clothing are cheap here. One can buy tea leaves/powder from many shops that are available here.

One of the best locations and the luke-warm sun with moderately chilling breeze does the magic... but then when you look around, you'd think this could have been better, Yes, we can accept it as organically grown to current state and reflecting local life and culture, but is that really so? Sure, we can make our tourist destinations better... merging... More

This is a mixed activity area, with cultural spaces and activities, view-points, stores and restaurants. We spent an evening having tea, then shopping, then having dinner, and more shopping -- all within about a three block area. Very friendly, safe, well lit and inviting area. Lots of middle class and upper middle class Indian and Overseas tourists. Somehow it did... More

Great place to go to in Darjeeling. Lots of shops for the shoppers. Or just a nice place to sit and chill and watch life in Darjeeling crawl by. And you get some of the best views of Khangchendzonga from here. There is a stage here and there is always something or the other going on here.

Nothing special. As name suggest it has four routes. Some cultural events are performed there but not daily.

The Chowrasta is basically the village square where 4 roads meet. The youngsters have a stage from which they play music and perform their dance routines. Around the square are the shops selling local arts and crafts and of course Darjeeling tea.
