T-Nagar area is a very good place for shopping. There are renowned big shops for garments and specially South Indian Sarees. There are good shops also for utensils. A good place for travellers for pass time through window shopping.

This is a popular street in Chennai for shopping, the roads are dirty and broken, but its worth going once for some cheap shopping deals. I would not recommend eating the street food/drinks there.
