Beautiful Shrine to Ramakrishna & monastery for Ramakrishna monks. This structure is surrounded by nicely landscaped grounds area that is peaceful and quiet. While the exterior of the building is beautiful to photograph, no photos are allowed inside. We walked all around the gardens area surrounding the Math building to enjoy the serene atmosphere of this area.

Ramakrishna math demands you pray and that too silently. The place is maintained very well and clean, I was awe struck at the place, the discipline and the courtesy,

If you would like to experience a different side to Chennai, this is a great place to visit. The gardens are peaceful and serene and it has a very welcoming atmosphere. This is really a very different experience from the Kapaleeshwarar Temple, much more laid back and chilled. Would definitely recommend a visit here to anyone passing through Chennai!!

Went to the morning meditation. Heard it starts at 4:30. Loved how they welcome everyone there. The interior was so serene and beautiful and the rituals they were performing took my meditation into it's present moment. The chanting and bells were surprising and splendid. Wish I could go every morning. ❤️

Located in Mylapore, this is a very peaceful and serene place. It is quiet and very well maintained. There is a bookshop, a meditation hall and a universal temple. Parking is available. Definitely worth visiting

This is a quiet revelation in overheated and crowded Chennai. A lovely meditation room, a bookstore, and delightful landscaping. A perfect place to take a break but also near the train and shopping.

A very nice place. It is quiet, well maintained, and beautiful place. The book store has nice collection of books on Swami Vivekananda, Sri Ramakrishna, and Mother Sarada. Worth going if one is in Chennai and need some quiet and peaceful place. I would recommend Vivekananda house and Ramkrishna Math, both places.
