Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The city of Jaipur has presiding deity of the Divine mother ever since the city was founded by the royals . Outside the city it takes about an hour from city to reach here . Right atop the hill inside the famed Amer fort this temple is situated next to the entry door just before you enter the main fort . The timings are strictly monitored closes at precisely at 12 o’clock noon and opens at 4 pm . The beautiful idol of shila devi is bewitching . The devotees will feel the devotion by looking at her . There is also a tiny temple of Kal Bhairav which is also beautiful,The cameras are prohibited . Footware is forbidden . Entry is free . Anyone coming for the famed Amer fort must visit this temple . A must visit .

The Shila Mata Mandir is a Hindu temple inside Amber Fort and is renowned for the statue of Durga in the sanctum Sanctorum. You can easily spot the temple because it’s got a star shaped fountain just in front of the entrance. Worth visiting when in Amber Fort, but it’s probably a better experience for devotees.

This was the first place we visited within the fort proper i.e. beyond the large courtyard. We were in good time for the 10am service which was interesting (& loud). Certainly worth a brief visit given its historical significance.
