This is one of the ancient temples of Jaipur where the Royal families use to worship. The temple is adjacent to the City Palace from where the royal family has the direct access from the palace. The devotees visit the temple for the blessings.

My visit to Govind Devji Temple during the Mangla Aarti at 5AM was a beautiful experience that truly embraced the essence of Hindu spirituality. The temple's architectural splendor and vibrant ambiance immersed me in a realm of divinity. The devotion and unity displayed by the worshipers were inspiring. The energy and serenity within the temple were palpable, instilling a deep sense of connection to my Hindu roots. Although the crowd management could be improved, the overall experience was spiritually enriching. Govind Devji Temple is a must-visit for those seeking a serene and soulful encounter with their Hinduness.❤️

Govind Devji Temple is situated inside the complex of City Palace in Jaipur. Maharaja of Jaipur builted this temple inside the City Palace in such a way that it can be seen from the Chandra Mahal building. There is well planned garden in front of the temple. The temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna. A large number of people, who visit the City Palace, also go to this temple to offer their prayers and seek blessings from Lord Krishna. It is an excellent opportunity to get blessings of Lord Krishna here.

Lord Govind Dev Ji Temple is a very famous place, spiritual and religious destination for Hindus, especially for the devotees of Shree Krishna. It is surrounded by many gardens in which there are few beautiful chandeliers and many paintings of Indian Art. Aartis' and 'Bhog' are offered seven times a day. Thousands of people visit (Darshan) the temple daily and an even larger number visit during Janmashtami day .

It is a Hindu temple Govind Dev Ji built by Sawai Jai Singh. The idol of Lord Krishna was brought from Vrindavan, mathura. It is inside the City Palace complex and seem to be directly visible to the King from his palace. The temple is dedicated to Govind Dev Ji (Lord Krishna). It is very serene and peaceful to be there. Visit as many times as possible. It opens at certain times and know the timing. Mornings are relatively less crowded than evening. Every one is allowed. Considered very powerful and people visit as many times as possible.

My experience of visiting Govind Devji temple over the last 20 years (being a native here):
1. Follow temple timings from the website. Timings differ during summer and winter and special darshan timings are during Janmasthami.
2. Lots of florist and puja item shops outside the temple. So no need to bring anything from home.
3. Systematic entry and exit. Place to keep shoes in return for token. Do not keep shoes randomly anywhere as dogs and monkeys are in plenty here.
4. For best darshan try to squeeze yourself for the front row. Camera is allowed!
5. If you want to go inside the temple near the radha krishna, then talk to the pujari. Remember to dress in suit/saree if you want to go inside.
6. Try to get tulsi and chandan offered to govind devjji.
7. If you want to conduct any special puja/darshan, talk to the puruhit and go in off season (not during bhadoo month/near janmasthami) due to crowd.
8. Before the temple is a place where you can feed grass to cows. Also, you can feed pigeons. Considered pious deed to do so. All grains and grass available there itself.
9. Separate counter for collecting prasad.
10. Near to the temple is City Palace and Jantar Mantar which are also good to visit. Just check timings, whicha re usually before 4pm. So plan trip accordingly.
11. Also, Hawa Mahal is walkable and so it JOhri Bazaar which are famous for shopping.
12. Just a few kms before is LMB Restaurant which is perhaps the oldest and safest place to relish traditional rajasthani food, jhewar, ladoo, phini and churma.
Note: Parking is problematic. Take a cab/taxi to this place.
