Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Somewhat quite place within Mumbai suburb. There are decently clean places to stay near beach. One resort on the beach and little expensive. You will find all regular run of the mill popular dishes on the menu. If you like seafood, local fresh catch is available, please talk to the resort manager of chef.
Good place to laze around on quite beach. Water is not so clear & seashore is rocky and dangerous to venture into the water. No life guard is available.

Visited the Manori beach near Gorai recently. The drive itself to the place was quite enjoyable.
On reaching the shore, we parked our cars & took the waiting ferry to cross the channel. Once on the other side, u have the option of taking a bus /ric if available or take a horse- cart to the beach
We decided to take the latter and the entire group had a great timetime on the ride. The beach itself is very scenic, the sunset specially made for some great photos.
Overall a lovely place to go for a picnic with friends & family

I had a worst experience with these stupid Jetty people while returning back at night. These idiots left us on wet sand that would make our scooter get stuck in it. We had no help for minutes. we had to request a man and pay extra for help. Me and two more scooters were left in open sinking sand very far away from the actual docking location. Dragging our scooter out of the wet sinking sand was hell of experience. I was breathless, weak person Candie or attack and panic.. It was scary and dark with no lights, no person to hear you. The jetty boat left people deep inside due to low tide. There were enough workers and yet they ran in jetty again. I had paid for jetty tickets and also for bike. Yet they refused to get my bike out of wet sand. This is stupidity and risky service specially at night. The Marve - Manori Jetty service providers should be considered responsible for each and every passengers safety. Hope this feed back makes a difference and a tight slap on their face for stupid disgusting wicked Jetty service providers.

What used to be charming little hamlets, Manori and Gorai are now a mockery of what you would call fishing villages. Marred by excessive litter and dotted with shady 'hotels' that cater to desperate couples and drunken picnickers, these two beach destinations are just not worth the trip anymore. The beaches themselves have been mined to death by sand robbers, and you're more likely to snag a plastic bag than shells on the shore. All in all, a huge disappointment to anyone wanting a nice, reasonably short and cheap getaway from this mad, bustling city of Mumbai. What used to be a cool weekend place for beer, seafood and glorious sunsets has now been reduced to a sad shadow of its former self.

Midst of the hustle bustle of the city this is by far one of the cleanest beaches in Mumbai. Hence, I would recommend it as a must visit beach if you want to enjoy a peaceful beach place. Some decent beach resorts and resuturants available around for you to spend the entire day with family and enjoy good food

Its a good place for mumbaikars. Its nearby. Within 1 n half hours reach. The only thing is you find lesser crowd if you go in weekdays because manori beach is not yet a well known beach. In weekdays still considerably crowd is found on beach. Sights and everything is good but ofcorse water isn't clean and people throw the tissue, plastic bags, cup after eating ice gola on beach which is I think the common thing in Mumbai if you go to any other beach. Dominica beach side resort is also good. Very very close to the beach, but its not a five star resort or something. Its just a lodging bording hotel with villas. Villas interior is average or maybe below average. Its for those who just need a roof for an overnight stay. Water is bathrooms is salt water. Food is good, I mean edible. Manager and owner are very friendly. There isnt any cake shop in manori so the manager arranged a cake for my wife's birthday there, ofcorse he took 300 bucks extra for his waiter to send to malad via ferry to bring cake. But its a good place.

It is Ok for a short trip. if I have to choose from marve, madh, alibaug manori and Aksha. I would choose Aksha and Manori. This is a good beach with a clean water compared to other beaches of mumbai, but surrounded by garbage thrown by villagers and empty beer bottles thrown by visitors. decent getaway for weekends.

you dont have to go to goa.. to enjoy a decent beach in our over crowded city.. the manori beach is hardly 5 minutes from marve jetty.. and due to its inaccessible location. as there is no car park , etc around.. does not find many takers.. we reached in exactly 40 minutes on to the beach.. from andheri lokhandwala.. the ferry from marve jetty is fun.. and then you have to take a rickshaw to beach, through lovely winding small lanes around the beach.. the ferries operate from as early as 6 am and charge, 10 rs a passanger, the rickshaw between 40 - 60 for the ride.. the beach has clean sand.. and no crowd.. we happened to see a photo shoot in progress with women in bikinis.. there are many cliffis around the area.. suitable for a good climb.. there are lots of shells to be found around.. and do look out for many crabs.. the beach is very peaceful and the sound of the waves and the foam is very relaxing.. however do watch out for couples making out.. we went very early in the morning.. so did not experience this.. but the later part of the day, post 11 am is . kind of frisky. almost all the rooms around the beach. are used for these kind of activities..

Beach is small but very peaceful. unfortunately littered with garbage and not cleaned. Very few good eating options. Very nice Bhuttos available on weekends. Nice for short breaks when you don't want to spend hour and hours getting to the place .

What is the distance between Pune and Manori Gorai brach ? Driving route
Written 10 August 2016
From Pune two ways you can travel
1)Pune-Thane; Thane-Mira Bhayandar ; Mira- Gorai (by road completely)
2) Pune-Thane; Thane-Malad ; Malad-Marve beach(by road) and Marve beach to Gorai by ferry. From ferry station you have to walk or can go by chariot.
If you have own vehicle better chose 1st option. You don't need to come to Mumbai city.
