Avoid going on saturday, sunday and holidays. They have higher entry fee on these days and you will encounter too much crowd also. before getting ticket for battery operated vehicle check for waiting period.
Good collection of species especially chimpanzee, orangutans, giraffe can be seen closely. Massive cat species. Aquatic animals are less seen. Overall a memorable visit. Will take 2-3 hrs. Have to walk for around 2-3 kns to cover the entire zoo.
Have visited some of the most popular zoos in the world (London, Vienna) and this one is up there. Kids loved the birds and parakeets, good collection of big cats, giraffes and elephants. Well maintained, clean and tidy. Animals looked healthy and cared for. Must...More

The zoo is huge in terms of area and capable of consuming one full day of your Mysuru itinerary. Though if you enjoy the animals without clicking pics, you can save much time. However, there are battery operated vehicles (charged separately from the entry fees)...More

The entry fee is 50 for adults and 20 for kids. It's a long walk yo see the zoo so if u don't prefer walking then there is vehicle available inside. You can go for that , around 5 people can go in that.
