Although not the best lake boating experience, I like to go back to Karanji due to convenience. On this occasion though it was a nice boating experience for the whole family, but under a scorching hot summer sun. Seems like a better maintained lake now.

Once a glory of Mysore, close to Chamundi Hills, this lake is now a dilapidated and badly maintained, no more a good place to take family

The lake is poorly maintained. Smelly water. The garden and park is just ok. Varieties of birds can be seen. Boating is poor at the black coloured lake.

Lake itself not vry big . but surrounding greenrry makes it special . and u can hire bicycle here . electric bicycle . it makes it very special

Very near to Mysore city centre . Having a car so cannot tell exact distance from Bus Stand. But we reached the place within 8-10 minutes.

This may be because it is developed as a bird and butterfly sanctuary. Joggers might disturb the environment for these species. They need time for themselves, you know!
