They won't let you enter the walk way at the top due to security concerns. Overall, it's not really worth going

Kabini Dam provides a good opportunity to have picnic and a day out. Not very far away from Mysuru, after HD.Kote One can visit a little interior from the Dam to enjoy the beauty of flora and fauna of the back waters.

Kabini Dam is a great place to take some good HDR photos during the sunset. do visit a little early to enjoy a tea.

This dam is a good picnic spot. Pretty old dam with good view from the top of the dam while walking. Even in this hot summer, water level is good. Average maintenance but main reservoir for most part of the region.
