This has been a common thing to note that the employees do not pay any respect on to the customers. They are very much hesitant to show the varieties and even sometimes show so much attitude that you feel like leaving the shop immediately. Even the saree quality is not worth the thousands you pay for them you would definitely find at least 3-5 issues related to the threading on each and every saree. Overall i would say these sarees are overpriced and the staff try very much to bring you on your toes.

The taxi driver told us it is Cauvery emporium run by Govt. of Karnataka. The staff were very pleasant but this place is a rip off and big on cheating. I got 10 silk sarees and paid 30-40 thousand for 6 of them. One of the sarees that they sold for Rs. 38000saying it is pure Zari and had silk mark certified is for Rs. 9000 in Kumaran silks Chennai website. It is the same exact one. Now I am hoping that rest are authentic but lost my trust. Never ever go to this Cauvery store as they are just cheaters. I am in U.S so really cannot do anything about tit but it is a shame that we have to be more careful among our own people.

Showroom manager and staff unfriendly and unprofessional and unpleasant. Air conditioner does not work. Feel they are doing you a favour by showing sarees.

No wonder government suffers losses from being in enterprise. Sad state of affairs

It was a very nice experience as you can go inside the silk factory and see all the stages of how a mysore silk saree reaches its final stage. There is no guided tour as such and usually the factory workers will be guiding you enthusiastically. There is also a KSIC showroom next to the factory from where the sarees can be purchased.

Really worth going to see. Not an organised attraction but a working factory where employees break off from their work to show you the stage of the silk process that they are working on. Although you may not be able to hear everything that is said to you and it may not all make total sense, the various stages and being able to see the process from silk cocoon to sari under one roof is really worthwhile. Probably not good for young children as it's noisy and the working parts of the machines are not fenced off.

This is a showroom of grand (and expensive!) Mysore silk sarees where women would love shopping. The sarees are of various styles and designs.
Adjoining is the factory where the sarees are made and visiting it was an insightful experience. There is no official tour as such, you need to go in and talk to the workers there (helpful if you know Kannada) who are only happy to explain the process and how exactly the saree is made from start to finish. Visiting it was very informative and exciting! A lot of serious work and effort goes into making the beautiful looking silk sarees displayed in the showroom.

One local autoricksha took us this shop to get sandle products and silk sarees. They charge almost double then market by saying it is government shop and we are not taking GST.

After we left from shop and hardly walk 200 meter, one man was running behind us and asking for the bill by saying I am from shop there is a mistake while issuing bill. He took a picture of our Bill. When we called to Shop he ran away and shop person told us as we are giving clothes for eid.he must came to increase sale.inshort commission..

I took silk dress material of RS 2495 which you can easily get it in 1400 RS in local market.

Please don't visit such places.

Here is lesson:

Visit web and check rating of shop before visit.

Also check for price in 2 to 4 shops before purchasing any product.
