Slow but memorable

The train takes double the time, a bit uncomfortable for space..yet I account it for one of the most memorable train trip of my life. Do not miss this, give it a try!

Worth doing! Couldn't say it was comfortable but the scenery en route is amazing. The 19 stations took just over 5 hours and we met some lovely folk on the train. A very memorable journey well worth the effort. Be aware that there is very little space for luggage.

It's one of the slowest modes of transport from kalka to shimla, but if you enjoy trains this is a bliss. The tickets can be booked online for about 853Rs. and suggest you do this as the train was full when we went, this train has 4×2 configuration so if you are couple traveling suggest you select both window seats....
