This is the central "square" in S(h)imla. Come here to watch the world go by. Take a horse ride, watch the monkeys, watch the people! Use the loos at your own discretion! Beware the photo sharks and other "wide boys". Choose where to go from here but take in the distant Himalayan views and the colourful houses and hotels that cover the valley sides.

It is situated near mall road. Offers good views and average street food. This place is picturesque and you can also see the statue of Lord Hanuman (Jakkhu Temple) from here. Good thing is that they have made arrangements for people to sit and enjoy the views.

What I enjoyed most about Shimla was just wandering around. It's a great town to mooch about in. Scandal Point is just one of many pretty places around the town and the town is hardly short of historical interest. Nothing against this one place at all, just get walking everyone!

This is a good meeting point and the location of several ATMs. One can stroll up to Christ Church or down the Mall to the Railway Building past several other colonial buildings.

The meeting point is not actually marked as Scandal Point. The story goes that an English man ran off with the daughter of a prominent Indian man. A good meeting point for locals

This is the place where you can expect to meet many of your near and dear one's if they are also in Shimla. The spot is full of visitors in the evening till night. It has lots of benches where you can sit and spend a leisure time watching tourists from all places on earth. The name is associated with an old love story of Maharaja of Patiala who eloped with the daughter of British Viceroy.

It's located where the mall road joins the Ridge road.many tourists visit in this area in the evening time.Famous Hindi movie 🎬 'Three Idiot' shoot here.various restaurant and shop near this area.A statue of freedom fighter lala lajpat rai here this point.it's also famous meeting place for local,tourists and lovers.lots of people taking pictures here.big crowded place but nice place to spend time.

The well-known ‘Scandal Point’ in Shimla is where the Ridge Road meets the Mall Road and there is a fun story about how it got the name. Reportedly the Maharaja of Patiala fell in love with the daughter of the then Viceroy of India One day while she was taking a stroll in this place, the King kidnapped her. From then onwards the place came to be known as the Scandal Point of Shimla.
British Government banned him from entering Shimla. Later King constructed a summer capital for himself at a small village called Chail, a much higher place then Shimla.
Now the Scandal Point is a favorite spot for people of all groups of age. The picturesque view of the green valleys and the milky white snow blanketed mountain ranges will keep you dumbstruck.

this a very good place, we visited in he afternoon return from sightseeing. spending time in the evening this is perfect. from here you see the large view of himalaya, this is very good place for spent some time with your family, friends or.....

The 'Scandal Point' may have an interesting story behind its name but presently its just a point on the Mall Road giving excellent views of the surrounding valleys. Also some good Bars and Restaurants are located here.There is a Board on the corner of the street that tells the history of Simla and that should not be missed.
