Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had great time stuffing our bellies with local food of this not-so-known part of Delhi. Batla House might not be the major tourist attraction of the city, but definitely worth exploring with this tour. Big plus for the price!

Enjoyed the 'Tawaifs of Old Delhi' heritage walk led by Gaurav Sharma of Go in the city. It basically covered the Chawri Bazaar which was called 'Bazaar e Husn' romantically in its heydays. The interesting storytelling recreated the bygone times when the courtesans were an epitome of high fashion and exquisite etiquette. Their painful decline was also discussed in decline. A must do.

Very informative and engaging walk. It is very important to talk about and highlight topics ignored in mainstream historical narrative. I'm really glad Gaurav decided to take yo this topic. His walk was where my interest in tawaifs and their culture began.

An amazing experience witnessing the unseen side of the Chawri Bazaar. Gaurav Sharma should be thanked for his immense love for this beautiful city and his heritage. Its about communication and connect and that was all the walk was about. Met a bunch of great people and what a lovely way to enjoy the weekend. :)

Gaurav sharma sir is very patient, intervening and vastly knowledged person and this is easily reflected by the way he explains complex historic events in a very simple manner. And this really helps to build up good rapport with him quickly and and to understand the events very easily. So if anyone wants to really live the History in present then Gaurav Sharma Sir is highly recommended.

This was a visit to national war Memorial with gaurav sir.

“The whole concept to build the architecture is based on the thought that the war memorial should be a place where we don’t mourn the death, but celebrate the life of the soldiers and pay respect to the sacrifices made by them.”

It was a great opportunity to be there. These visits gives us a tap on our back to feel more proud everyday of our fighters.
Right direction and authentic information is very important when you are in the journey of history, cause I believe half knowledge is dangerous.

Gaurav sir is a great narrator,He is well researched, full of knowledge, enthusiastic, disciplined.Hearing him out there was a great opportunity!

Looking forward for more visits like this....

This was a walk at the national war memorial with the story running around about the 1965 war between India Pakistan in which Gaurav sir explains about why Pakistan didn’t win and what India lost. Gaurav sir spins history with such a great flow that after a point you feel that the monuments have started a conversation with you . The information is absolutely authentic. Sir is well aware of the historic sites and the history behind them. It was a great walk which makes u feel energised even at the end of the day. The walk was awesome. Waiting for further more to come!!!

It was a great learning experience to know the details behind the clashes on the borders, especially the 1965 Indo Pak war. Gaurav ji shared stories which helped us understand multiple aspects of such clashes.

If you believe that history is not just to be read in books, but understand it through stories, you need to join for more such walks.

It is so good to know that young scholars are taking up neglected histories based on the lines of caste and gender. Gaurav in his walk on the lane of Chawri Bazaar of Old Delhi, attempts to unravel the days of Tawaifs of this region. He literally recreates the old days from some of the last traces of history yet preserved in that lane, these too shall vanish soon perhaps, unless consciously saved from extinction, by all of us, through writing, photographing, talking about them and definitely such walks.
