chinnabee silent trail was closed when we arrived to hike it. we drove on around and found cave creek trail. signage is absolutely horrid in AL..the forest is beautiful but being informed of where you are is imperative when traversing/hiking an area, especially when there...More

We just drove though on Hwy 25. The road was great and the scenery was absolutely beautiful. So glad our forefathers had the vision to insure the safety of some of our country's natural habitat!

A natural gem of the state. Beautiful protected timber forest. Interesting topography. Mostly well kept roads for access. Will visit again in the Fall.

Nice scenic drive through the mountains of eastern Alabama. It is adjacent to Cheaha state park. Great for a weekend trip.

It is a beautiful place to take family and kids. It's peaceful and relaxing. Lots to see and enjoy. Lots of wildlife and very beautiful.

They have several walking trails that cover distances from 2 miles to 10 miles or more. If you are in the area and like hiking this is a good place.

I would contact Cheaha State Park for help since the park is adjacent to the forest.

We stayed at Day's Inn in Childersburg and it was clean and quiet.
