Whilst in Bocas del Toro recently, we decided to check out their famous Starfish Beach. Off the bat, some of the activities company staff that we discussed this possibility with, told us that it could be a hit and miss affair in terms of the...More

Either the tour guide who said we would visit starfish beach took us somewhere else or it really was as underwhelming as it was. There were perhaps a starfish per every 5 meters below the water level, but the visit was by boat so you...More

Chill beach, only a few minutes ago from Starfish beach. We stopped there during our Quad Day for a Panama beer.

Is a good place to relax and snorkel, full of star fish and other small marine creatures. I wouldn't suggest this place to eat, food isn't that good and a bit expensive

We went here to see the starfish but was disappointed with how commercial it was and could see more starfish at the reefs in town.

My fiancé and I visited this beach in December 2014, and I was super excited about seeing some starfish. We didn't see one. The beach didn't seem like the cleanest beach and there were several overpriced vendors renting beach equipment and food. It was also...More

This beach is a lovely spot in Bocas del Toro. Spent a few hours there. Some recommendations: Arrive between 8 and 9 o clock in the morning when restaurants are closed and few tourists are around. Later in the day there will be loud music....More

We got a taxi to Drago beach and were then told we could catch a boat or take the 15 minute walk. I recommend the walk. It is a beautiful relaxing walk around to Starfish Beach. When you first arrive there are little restaurants but...More

No, the beaches are free. You definitely need transportation here. There is an area on beach they sell drinks and rent chairs to sit. There is a great restaraunt just before you walk along the ocean to the beach. Enjoy
