Maybe you just like me, enjoy hiking and the nature. Sunrise always equals to hope! In early April, I went to Cingjing and enjoyed a stunning sunrise view at Hehuan Mountain. You can book the local tour through your hotel. They will pick you up at 3:00-4:00, then go up to the top. And you can see the stars, the... More

We went on a sunrise tour arranged by our accommodation (Ailiga Resort). It was a well-organised tour; they even provided us with wind-breaker jackets for the under-dressed (guilty!) and took us star-gazing en-route to the top, which takes about an hour. It was 4 degrees celsius up there, but it was worth braving the cold for the gorgeous, iridescent sky... More

We joined a local tour and left our BnB at 4:20am that morning. The driver drove us up to the top of the mountain for breaking dawn. On our way up, we stopped over for countless stars. We were able to witness the sunrise around 5:45am, the experience was amazing! On our way down the slope, we saw sea of... More

We book the sunrise bus tour for TWD400 per pax, you can book it thru your hotel. the bus picked us up directly from our hotel entrance at 3.55am. I would advice you to sit at the left seats, so that you can have a very good looks of the mountain landscape while coming down from hehuanshan peak. There's nothing... More

It's an hour drive up from the small town of CingJing itself. The highest point stands just beyond 3200m above sea level and provides you with a 360 view of the surrounding landscape. Must see!

Less than one hour drive from our accommodation at Cing Jing. We went there in March and the winds are strong with cold temperatures. Warm clothings are definitely recommended. We took a short 30 min hike up the mountains. Starting point is just in front of 3158 cafe. The climb up is quite straightforward though there are a few spots... More

The Hehuan Mountain peak at above 3000 meters. The road to go up the mountain is very spectacular on both sides ( towards Sun Moon lake and toward the Taroko Gorges ) . You need to bring heavy clothing as the temperature can be as low as 6C . You also need to be a bit lucky with the weather... More

Went up the mountain with a tour for the sunrise. At 4 degrees celsius, with strong winds, the mountain wasn't the most welcoming, but the view made up for it. Be mentally prepared to adjust to the altitude, and do not panic if you are slightly out of breath. Also, a good windbreaker, coupled with thick layers, IS A MUST.... More

One of the best view near Cinging! We get to see the clear mountain view even from the observation deck. Too bad it was raining quite heavily when we went and we didn't get to change to do a short hike. Ended up having a hot chocolate and one of the tastier tea leave eggs. Definitely must visit!

Extremely well-organized tour. Starts with a 4am pickup from your hotel, offering jackets for the -8°C freezing cold weather. First stop is to stargaze, with the best night sky one would expect - patterns resembling to the Milky Way pictures we come across. Next stops to make the best of sunrise views. Again, exceptional. Then come post sunrise views of... More
