Definitely worth a visit, be sure you are there early. We enjoyed a great tour by a volunteer who showed us the details and told us about the history. Would definitely recommend a tour guide. Beautiful views when 500+ steps up.

This is the ancient buddhist monastery which has history over 2000 years. Place is less popular among tourists but it has high archaeological value. Panoramic view from the top is amazing. Worth place to visit.

A visit to Mulkirigala is worth a visit, though you travel deep into the rich interiors. also known as the little Sigiriya due to its imposing boulder and steps leading to the summit the paintings and ancient, religious scriptures are fascinating

I got there by two busses from Tangalle. Entrence is for 500R. Be very carefull - stairs are curve and narrow. I couldn't see anything because of hight trees around the peak. Take water with you!
