We were brought here by our driver who said we could get better Ayurvedic massage for less outside our hotel (made sense). When we arrived, the smoothe salesman bundled a package which was pretty much double the hotel cost. We felt cornered so agreed. It was a pretty low-key parochial experience (not unexpected) and not too intensive. My greatest concern was finding that my child, who was next to me and finished a couple of minutes early, was taken into a separate stall, stripped of underwear and scrub hosed off while I was still held in a sauna bed (with lid/hood over me). I don't believe there was anything sinister and it was probably cultural unawareness but still flipped when I found out later.

Sigiriya is famous for ayurvedic spa as well. However I found most of these are fake once which does not know the actual Ayurveda.. be careful
