Orthodox Cathedral of St. Nicholas is located in the center of Sremski Karlovci, a very nice town full of wineries, in the Northern region of Serbia. It is an orthodox religious building with two bell towers in the main façade and it was built in the 18th Century. In front of the cathedral, there is a promenade with some bars and a beautiful square. Nice.

Sremski Karlovci is small historical city located 10km from Novi Sad,known for its baroque architecture and wine production.
It is only 100 km from capital ,Belgrade.
Nice attractions to visit are:The Bishop Palace and Orthodox Cathedral Church, gorgeous inside and out,the first High school ,the oldest in Serbia, small beautiful streets with colorful buildings,,four Lions fountain and Chapel of pease.
There is a legend if you take a sip of water from four Lions fountain you will return to Karlovci and get married.
Lovely small town in Serbia.

When the Austrians moved into Serbia they suppressed the Serbian Orthodox Church in favor of the Catholic, as well as banning the Cyrillic Alphabet, etc. This is why this church is in the baroque, Catholic style. It was the center of the Serbian Orthodox Church (now in Belgrade)

This is a lovely Orthodox church, dating back to the mid 18th century.
While the church's interior is decent, its exterior is far more picturesque and appealing.

Strongly recommend the tour of this church. It is the museum of the Orthodox Church of Serbia, so they have a collection of very ancient relics from Churches throughout the country. The tour guide was very informative and very accommodating. His English was excellent.

The Serbian Orthodox Cathedral in this picturesque village is in the centre of town next to the Patriarch's Palace. It is built in High Baroque style and has a central aisle. As would be expected there are many paintings and icons and the church bell resounds through the town.

The Orthodox Cathedral of St Nicholas is one of the prime old structures you'll want to make time to see while in Novi Sad (you'll be sorry if you don't!).
Located at the head (or foot?) of the main old city square, the Cathedral is nothing less than majestic.
This site is a great photo opportunity. You can even step inside and get an even more personal look at the place.

This is definitely worth a visit, the icon of the Madonna is here and very important in Serbian Orthodoxy. There are also some interesting paintings in the church relating to Serbian history and the lives of the saints such as St Sava. I like my churches a bit less baroque but that's just me.

In the main square of this small town, this church is a precious gem, particularly because of the many icons in the main altar.
