Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Impressive from the outside, however the site was closed and locked up during our mid-day Saturday visit.

If you want to visit this church (UNESCO list), you can only see it from the outside because it is closed for visits. The church is located about 10 minutes walk from the city center and from the surrounding buildings it is sometimes difficult to find. Take care that the street leading the church is very narrow.

Due to the security reasons, the Bogorodica Ljeviška Monastery (Our Lady of Ljeviš) is locked and closed. If you would like to visit it personally or in a group, you need to announce your visit in advance, since the Monastery has a security clearance procedure, that needs to be fulfilled. If you manage to visit its interiors, you will not be disapointed, especially if you're into history and medieval architecture, art and religion. Although the Monastery has severely been damaged in 2004, a detailed restoration of frescoes which has been partially done since then will allow you to enjoy its beauty and its history. The Monastery is considered to be one of the most important historical and architectural sites in Prizren and should not be missed if you're visiting this beautiful amazing city. Once again, make sure to plan your visit to this UNESCO-protected site, since it's usually closed for visitors.

Church is very interesting from inside if you go in there. Story is sad but absolutely worth it to visit.

The history of this church and all the other churches in Prizren is sad, but they are still worth a visit. If you ask the kind policeman outside you might even get a look inside. It is damaged since 2004 from the riots, but its still possible to see the old frescoes here and there. I would highly recommend visiting this church and reading about its history for some wider perspective on the history of Kosovo.

OK it's a really old church protected by UNESCO, it's great to see how it looks but you can't get in. You can only take pictures from the surroundings and that's it. It would be great to get in and see stuff from 700 years ago but... Meh

Be careful while taking pictures, a car might hit you, drivers don't care about people in this area because the streets are narrow.

This UNESCO site is listed on World Heritage Sites in Danger due to the need to preserve the site, which requires financial funding. This church was, like many others, a Byzantine church converted to a mosque, and after the war in 1990, became a site for Serbian Orthodox documents. Rarely open. Enjoy the style of the building.

A UNESCO world heritage site, it was severely damaged during the skirmishes of 2004. Such a shame. Amazing architecture - probably the best in the city. Not to be missed.

Very interesting Orthodox church in Prizren. Located relatively centrally. the church is surrounded by a wall and barbed wire, so we were not able to enter it. there was a police kiosk at the entrance, whom we asked about entry but they told us it would not be possible. I would still recommend checking it out, even if it is from the outside only.
